When Nature Calls
When nature calls.  Druids share a belief in the fundamentally spiritual nature of life.  Native American
religion tends to focus around nature:  landscape, animals, plants, and other environmental elements
play a major role.  In some stories nature literally calls - i.e. the full moon calls to the werewolf.  Hunger
calls to the Wendigo.  Nature and weather.  Nature and its impact literally, figuratively and in genre.

Face the Fiction....
Author Hunter Shea

"Hunter Shea is the product of a misspent childhood watching scary movies, reading
forbidden books and wishing Bigfoot would walk past his house. He doesn’t just write about
the paranormal – he actively seeks out the things that scare the hell out of people and
experiences them for himself. Hunter’s novels can even be found on display at the
International Cryptozoology Museum. His video podcast, Monster Men, is one of the most
watched horror podcasts in the world. He’s a bestselling author of over 13 (lucky number!)
books, all of them written with the express desire to quicken heartbeats and make spines
tingle. Living with his wonderful family and two cats, he’s happy to be close enough to New
York City to gobble down Gray’s Papaya hotdogs when the craving hits."

Join us for a fun and entertaining night with author Hunter Shea.  Hunter will discuss his
books The Jersey Devil and We Are Always Watching, discuss his podcast and more.  Get
ready for a unique experience.

When:  Saturday, April 22, 2017
Time:  6:30pm
Where:  Brookdale Community room, 60 Bergen Ave., Teaneck, NJ 07666

We Are Always Watching:  They’ve watched over the house for generations…
Grandpa Abraham is a drunk bastard and the living embodiment of the long neglected farmhouse. He claims the place
is haunted. Ghosts roam the hall at night and their muffled cries fill the silence of warm, summer nights.
Dark secrets are buried deep, and there are Guardians who want to keep it that way...they are always watching.

The Jersey Devil:  Everyone knows the legend of the Jersey Devil. Some believe it is an abomination of nature, a
hybrid winged beast from hell that stalks the Pine Barrens of southern New Jersey searching for prey. Others believe it
is a hoax, a campfire story designed to scare children. But one man knows the truth . . .
