friends/customers, etc. will once again 'storm the gates' of the AMC Loews theater by the
Willowbrook Mall to see the midnight showing of WATCHMEN...AND STORM THE GATES THEY
DID!!!
And here's what they said:
No pirates?
No Squid?
No Problem!
Well worth the time (and the company we got to see it with was amazing as well). The
new ending is intelligent and actually fits better!
Yes, seeing way too much of Dr. Manhattan (and often) got 'old' but overall, I
honestly feel Alan Moore would say "It was OK." - which would be high praise indeed!

I'm not a critic, and loopy because we had to walk an hour home because our ride
didn't show (and I have to get up for work in a couple of hours...) -- IMHO the film is
an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. Parts were so true to the novel that it brought tears to
my eyes.. even my fanatic fangirl daughter loved it. The casting was genius, and I
plan to see it (again) in IMAX. Being a rock fanatic, the music choices were inspired,
the use of Leonard Cohen's songs: wow! Lots of little fannish bits hidden here and

I absolutely agree! What an amazing film. I plan on doing a review at some point
after I see it a second time, but yeah, "Wow!" sums it up.
BTW - using the music as a guide I have determined that the Watchmen were
apparently the real Cylons! If you watch Battlestar and see a certain scene in the
film, you will understand my meaning, said the Joker to the Thief. (posted by Todd)
