    Monday July 13, 2009
    8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
    Panera Bread Restaurant
    165 Rt. 4 West
    Paramus, NJ 07652
    201.368.0752

This group meets on the second Monday of each month to discuss a specific mystery, horror, or
intrigue novel. This month we revisit our friend Jackie Kessler's world of
    Hell on Earth with Road
    to Hell
. Kessler's sizzling sequel to paranormal debut Hell's Belles puts ex-succubus Jezebel—
the now-mortal Jesse Harris, a dancer at a strip club—stage center again. For a month after
waking up in a hospital, the former 4,000-year-old, fifth-level succubus who used to seduce
humans to claim their souls has been living a happy mortal life in New York with a devoted
boyfriend, New York vice cop Paul Hamilton. So when Alecto, a Fury from hell, arrives and
demands she return to hell to help Alecto's sister, Megaera (Jessie's former best friend who
betrayed her), Jesse balks. Much of the rest of the book is spent convincing her to change her
mind, with each sexy escapade topping the last, until (among other things) the demons go after
Paul, and Jesse has to pull an Orpheus. Kessler's raunchy blend of heaven, hell and eros makes
for a wild thrill ride, and hot, tough-talking Jesse has gumption and sass. For additional

This group meets on the second Wednesday of each month to discuss all things related to comic
books, anime, and manga. Whether its Golden Age, Silver Age, Manga, or Anime, this group
tackles the ins and outs of art, story, and the graphic media. This month we put a slight spin on
the monthly theme - we'll be discussing hell, but in the form of 'your own personal hell.' My Name
Is Tony Stark and I Am An Alcoholic - Comic books have taken time out to address real life social
issues such as substance abuse/addiction, domestic abuse, and AIDS. We'll talk about some of
the most notable characters and storylines that have tackled these issues. We'll also discuss if
these issues help or hinder comic books. Some might think that superheroes talking about such
things is a real "downer". What's it like inside a personal hell? For additional information click
